“Succession is a great game. The Foglio art cannot be mentioned enough, and the writing throughout the short rulebook will have you laughing out loud. Game play is so much fun that you will hardly notice the passing of time.”

“...If you've ever wanted to play Diplomacy without devoting months to a single game, or if you just believe promises are made to be broken and the end justifies the means, buy this game. We promise you won't be sorry.”
InQuest Magazine, “Games You Gotta Buy Before You Die,” issue #115
“I’ll gladly play this game anytime. It might not work well in some crowds, especially with those who can’t take a good-natured backstab. But with the Diplomacy-lite crowd, those who like negotiations but don’t want to get TOO serious about it, this is the perfect game. With tremendous quality components and simple yet fun game play, this is the perfect game for those who like to wheel and deal.”

“I really dig the concept and implementation of the game. Great production qualilty (except the peeling cardboard coins). Clever interplay of mechanics and concepts. Everything is for sale -- how you play or apply a card, how you cast your votes, who you assign blame to... everything can be manipulated for a price or the right favor. You need to carefully balance your position so you don't peak too soon and appear that you're doing too well, or you'll get crushed. A lot more nuance and subtlety than I think most people will give it credit for.”
