Earth's colony on Epsilon Eridani has declared independence, taking control of one of the system's vital space stations and half the fleet. Negotiations between Earth's remaining fleet and colonial forces have broken down. Now these armadas must battle for control of the system.
In Space Station Assault, two fleet commanders seek victory by destroying the enemy space station or a large number of enemy ships. Simple to learn and playable in 15-30 minutes, Space Station Assault is rich in strategic possibilities.
Space Station Assault is a self-contained two-player game; no additional cards are necessary. Each copy comes with two identical fleets, each with fifty ships and a space station. (You also get some blank cards for designing your own ships if you want!) All you need in addition are some dice, coins or dry-erase markers to track damage on ships.

Basics of Play
You and your opponent will begin the game with your space stations in play. You will then take turns playing ships, beginning with your fastest ships, like Fighters, and working up to your slower, more powerful ships like Behemoths.
Each ship is defined by four statistics: Speed, Shields, Firepower and Victory Points.
Speed: when you can play the ship, ranging from 1 (fastest) to 5 (slowest). Space
Stations act last, at speed 6.
Shields: When a ship has taken damage equal to its Shields it is destroyed.
Firepower: When a ship is played, it will fire on one adjacent enemy ship (if any), doing
damage equal to its Firepower.
Victory Points: The object of the game is to score 60 victory points. When you destroy a
ship or Space Station you score its victory points. (Since the stations are worth 60 points
each, destroying the enemy station wins you the game immediately.)
Who would enjoy Space Station Assault?
Space Station Assault is easy to learn and fast to play – you can teach someone the rules in the time it takes them to shuffle their deck! It has been called “the perfect in-between game” for when you only have half an hour to play or while you’re waiting for the rest of your gaming group to show up.
With its easy-to-learn rules and beautiful spaceships, Space Station Assault is also extremely popular with kids, and is regularly featured in the organized kids’ rooms at major conventions like GenCon. What’s more fun than fighting with spaceships?
