Elves of Ravenwood Factions Broadens Play Options for Wargamers
BROOKLINE, Mass. – April 11, 2006 – Your Move Games today announced production and shipment of the first expansion faction for its acclaimed Battleground: Fantasy Warfare with the addition of the Elves of Ravenwood starter and reinforcement decks. The new faction is expected to ship to retailers and online customers in immediately.
“Since Battleground: Fantasy Warfare launched 8 months ago, players have been eagerly awaiting our first expansion,” said Your Move Games Founder and Co-CEO Chad Ellis. “We’re not only releasing the starter and reinforcement expansion decks, but also the 2.0 version of Battlground’s rules, which improve on some key areas of game play.”
The Elves of Ravenwood is the fourth faction for Battleground: Fantasy Warfare. The original game was released with Men of Hawkshold, Orcs and Undead factions. The addition of the Elves of Ravenwood gives players a new army to build with and broadens the range of scenarios available for play.
The Elves represent an army of wood elves from the vast forest of Ravenwood. They are skilled warriors who wield traditional weapons as well as hunting nets to ensnare enemies in battle. In addition, the forces of Ravenwood include powerful allies such as centaurs, wolves and bears who fight alongside the Elves.

Battleground: Fantasy Warfare is a tabletop tactical wargame in which cards, rather than expensive miniatures, represent your units. Battleground is non-collectible - each faction comes in non-random Starter and Reinforcement decks. Starter decks include eighteen unit cards, that faction's thirty-card Command Deck, two reference cards and the basic rules. Each Starter deck includes a list of two 1500-point armies that can be built from the deck. Reinforcement decks contain fifty unit cards, including two unit types not found in the starter, and the advanced rules. Both sets of rules can be downloaded for free from www.yourmovegames.com.
